School Journal 2023

Ever since I learnt to ride a bike I’ve been an avid cyclist so I’m a big fan of cycleways. But not everyone is.

This was confirmed when I wrote an article about cycleways for the School Journal (Level 2 of the curriculum). The journal supports all learning areas of the New Zealand Curriculum and is published by Lift Education for the Ministry of Education.

I interviewed a primary school student, a family of cyclists, a pedestrian who also drives, a shop owner, and a Paralympic cyclist. The article exposes young readers to different people’s perspectives and invites them to think about their own point of view.
